Lactic acid is an organic acid from the AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) family that is found naturally in milk, in certain fruits and vegetables (such as tomato or guava) and also in wine. It plays a role in various biochemical processes in the human body.
In our cosmetic products, it appears in the list of ingredients on the packaging, under the name LACTIC ACID.
The lactic acid we use is of natural origin. It has a good environmental profile and is biodegradable. Its manufacturing process conforms to the principles of green chemistry*. It is made from the fermentation of sugar (beet, sugar cane and corn).

Lactic acid is used in the food industry as an additive, as an acidifier and flavour enhancer. Its antibacterial properties make it an ingredient of choice in the detergent industry. It is used in cosmetics to adjust the pH of the formula, and for its moisturizing and exfoliating properties. It is used in some cosmetic products in combination with other AHAs such as glycolic acid.

Ferulic acid is an organic compound found in the cell walls of certain plants. Use: Typically used at 0.1-10%, a higher percentage is possible because the Low-molecular weight HA does not gel like the HMW-Hyaluronic acid. 3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid an etherified derivative of ascorbic acid which is soluble in both water and oil. As it contains an entire group bound to the third carbon position, it is one of the most stable known forms of Vitamin C, enabling it to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin without causing irritation. This chemical arrangement protects the 3-O group from ionization and thus the molecule from oxidation. It also causes changes in physicochemical properties.
3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid is a very potent form of Vitamin C. It is also referred to as Ethyl ascorbic acid. Also, this transformation enhances the transportation power in the skin to be absorbed faster and better.
Once Ethyl Ascorbic acid is absorbed into deeper layers of skin, ethyl ascorbic acid loses its modification and Vitamin C gets absorbed into the skin. This Vitamin C derivative is shown to be more potent in repairing UV rays damage.
Although 3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid and L ascorbic acid have different structures, they have similar benefits: potent collagen booster, skin brightening agent, and an excellent antioxidant.
